InsideVue Calciumcount™
Evaluation of hardening or narrowing of the arteries
Calciumcount is a quick, easy and convenient method of evaluating calcium in the coronary arteries.
There are no injections or side effects because it is a non-invasive x-ray test which measures the build-up of calcium in the arteries that carry blood to the heart. This build-up is known as arteriosclerosis, narrowing or hardening of the arteries.
Coronary artery calcium scoring is a highly advanced test that uses a high-speed CT scanner. It is generally only useful in people over 40 years of age. Our cardiologists report contains a calcium score indicating the plaque load and the risk attached to it.
